If you haven't jumped into the Podcast pool you really should, the water is great. Podcasting is like mixing the controlled play of a CD with the immense content choice of radio. A couple of my favorite ones are NPR's All Songs Considered and Story of the Day and acoustic Tuesday. One Podcast that I've recently stumbled onto through iTunes is called "Bored Again Christian." Don't be turned off by the cheesy play on words, this Podcast is a great way to hear music from up-and-coming bands who are Christians but don't necessarily play "contemporary Christian Music." Some of these bands and singer-songwriters are really quite talented. If you can get through the forced commentary by host Just Pete, you get to sample on the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Over the Rhine, Romantica, and many others. It's music put out by bands like these that give me hope that there are believers out there who are serious about influencing our culture through quality music.
